Administrative Office of the Courts
Supporting Idaho’s Courts. Serving the Public.
The Administrative Office of the Courts provides statewide services that help ensure the daily operation of Idaho’s courts. Our roles include court administration, financial management, technology, education, and public outreach. Through collaboration, planning, and innovation, we help strengthen access to justice, promote public trust, and support the timely and impartial resolution of cases.
What is “Court Administration”?
Judges, clerks, and other court personnel work each day to conduct court hearings and render decisions. Court administration ensures that when they show up, the lights are on and the computers are working. Administrative staff support the ongoing operation of the courts in any way necessary – managing state funding, maintaining technology, and performing other vital operating functions. Processes and procedures maintained by the Administrative Office help courts operate in a consistent way throughout the state, providing certainty for court users who need to understand the system.
