Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee
A multidisciplinary Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, to advance Idaho's balanced approach to the juvenile justice system, will accomplish the following:
Build collaboration with juvenile justice stakeholders;
Research and study the operation of Idaho's juvenile justice system to improve practices and outcomes for juveniles and their families;
Promote the implementation of evidence-based practices to accomplish the goals of the Juvenile Corrections Act (JCA);
Recommend changes to rules or statutes to improve the operation of the juvenile justice system;
Assist with implementation of juvenile case flow management plans;
Collaborate with the Supreme Court Treatment Court Committee to promote effective practices in Idaho's juvenile drug and mental health courts;
Collaborate with the Supreme Court Child Protection Committee to promote policies and practices aimed at improving outcomes for dually adjudicated (crossover) youth;
Develop, recommend, and maintain statewide juvenile justice forms; and
Promote the implementation of data sharing among system stakeholders.
